Default Pennypack Park Photo Sept 21, 2006

Here's a link to a photo I took in Pennypack Park on Thursday afternoon, September 21, 2006. And we all know where this bridge is, right?

If it's what I'm thinking of, it's kinda deep in the woods and it makes an awful gonna collapse at any moment type sound while you're crossing it. Or maybe that was just due to my own fat-ass and the bicycles trying to cross at the same time...

All right, all right, I thought for sure at least somebody would know where that bridge is. But just to solve the mystery, its down the hillside from in back of Father Judge High School in the part of Pennypack Park known as "The Bend." When you enter into Pennypack Park from Frankford Avenue heading westward, it's the first foot/bikepath bridge you come to. And when seen from the side it's a pretty amazing engineering feat as you can see. It sort of reminds me of that bridge the Rolling Stones used in their Bridges to Babylon tour.

Meantime, here's another photo, this one taken back on September 9, 2006, showing another classic bend in the creek. And the title of this file pretty much tells you where it is I hope. When I shot this photo a giant blue heron was flying around at that moment and I ultimately aimed to get it in the photo as well. But it was too fast for me! Alas! But sans the blue heron at least I got this nice landscape photo out of the attempt.
