Yes, we're on an anonymous blog. But you keep hitting on the same issue. Prove it or shut up.

The incumbent from the 173rd district does not own property in the district. Never has. I will be happy to provide you and any reporter with the proof.

Just give me a call. My name is David and my number is on:

I don't have to prove it. McGeehan freely admitted it in a glossy mailing. He claims he lives at the family bar, which he doesn't own, with 9 other people who are registered there. He not only admits to investing in Jersey property, which is what made me angry initially, but he proudly informs us that he also invests in Florida property! No mention of investment by McGeehan in property in the 173rd is mentioned.
I think his own words are sufficient for reasonable people to understand McGeehan's disdain for the 173rd and those who live here.
Call me what you will, cyainthehood, you mean nothing to me, but the fact is that McGeehan chooses to not personally invest in the 173rd district which we call home but he considers his fiefdom. If you find that acceptable, so be it, however, there are many who find it nothing short of reprehensible.

All I see from the first post is just a news hound researching what looks to be an interesting factoid.

Further in the thread, I see a politically active person that's more than willing to go on the record and confirm what oystermick espouses.

That pretty much wraps it up, I guess.

I agree. However, it seems that many, including the reporter, are not serious about their intentions. A private message with such a tone and no follow up with me about the subject at hand (perhaps Mr. Brennan is on vacation) is odd.

Also, the Baldwin campaign has had some interaction with Mr. Brennan about a separate issue. There has been no further developments from the questions he was asking.

I have had some, very limited personal experience with reporters and the media. One always should be on the defensive unless you have set the parameters of the conversation. Their motives are not always what they portray them to be.

I agree.

I used to skydive full time, and any time a skydiving death rears its ugly head (hey, it's inevitable... skydiving incidents happen from time to time.... there's always a reason for why it happens though).

Instead of publishing the exact reason why the skydiver(s) or pilot(s) died in an incident... they love to write "the parachute failed" or "the plane crashed" leaving the reader to think it either the parachute didn't open or something was mechanically wrong with the plane.

Almost zero skydiving fatalities these days are high-speed no parachute deployments. Practically... zero. I might see an incident report 1 or 2 times a year that are like this.

Usually over 50% of the time it's because the skydiver failed to exercize caution, did not respond to a malfunction properly, was using high-speed equipment that the skydiver is not trained to handle, or did not correctly execute a proper landing sequence under a parachute that he or she could have landed normally.

But instead, I keep reading stories that make the reader think the skydiver's parachute didn't open. Instead, I learned to go to dropzone.com to find out what REALLY happened, from the bloggers who were actually there when it happened.

I think you missed the point. The reporter used the word investigate. Re-read his private message.

Default I hope the reporter does an investigation

I have no problem being commented- come over let's go over to Mike's House and look for him, we can sit out on Cottman and WAIT have a drink in the bar, I heard he lives in the apartment above the Democratic Head Quarters on Frankford. Ask the neighbors? maybe they drank the cool-aid and will cover for him or what about when he lived on Ditman and Delaire Landing??? His paper said that he lived there is whole life, his registration has been there all along.

McGeehan's parents have a winter retreat in Florida, according to the flyer he sent out, do they live with him when they return for the summer? That is one crowded house! Two floors and a lot of people. Remember, the basement is the bar he showed everyone. Not his bar though.

As a kid, I aspired to grow up, go to college and buy a house. I guess his aspirations were a little skewed.

Moving on to more exciting topics - oh wait - I forgot I was talking about McGeehan. Isn't he running for Councilman anyway? Why doesn't he do everyone a favor and give up his seat - give it back to the people he has let down - and RUN for COUNCIL! Joan won;t be there much longer even if she does run again.

Then he can go down to City Hall with the rest of the future cellmates - He'll fit right in.
