If I had to guess, and my being familiar with Mike McGeehan enough by now, he's probably in a back office somewhere with Joan Krajewski trying to help her swing a deal to make sure that junkyard comes to upper Holmesburg as opposed to the alternative that Crystal L. Eiswert, the Upper Holmesburg Civic Association's secretary, has strongly recommended for that site. She wants the site, located at Pennypack and Hegerman Streets, to become a "green energy field," that is, a site that would use environmentally friendly methods to produce electricity, sell power to local utilities, and use the money to build a community center. And I can just see that deer in the headlights expression on McGeehan's face when asked his opinion on that alternative. And the ever omniscient Joan Krajewski with that gravelly voice of hers saying that anyone who thinks the alternative is a far better idea is a nut. Alas, California has Arnold Schwartzenegger while we have to be stuck with Mike McGeehan and Joan Krajewski. But hopefully not for much longer.

Getrichtryin, why is that all the civic's feel the same way! Tacony was in the same pain when Daydream's was opening, and the fight between the civic and Mike began with a tattoo parlor one of Mike's friends wanted on torresdale ave. I 100% agree with you a green site is far better than yet another junk yard, we have several in Tacony and they are EYESORES to say the least.
This is exactly why I got involved in politics, but on the opposite side, in my mind is the lesser of the two evils. And you have the Lindenfield site, to deal with as well. I hope that your membership embraces Reynold Baldwin's for State Rep in NOVEMBER, let it be known anyone who embraces John Street is going to be unemployed!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Mr. Baldwin never said he did not live in the district or that he lived in New Jersey.
He raised the question, "Why has Mr. McGeehan not invested in the district?" He still does not own property here. And quoting The House Democrat literature: Reynolds Baldwin will leave no lie unanswered. Mr. McGeehan also talks about his SOLID RECORD. Perhaps he would like to provide specifics... If he says he lives there, then he does. I think there are more pressing issues than who can prove they live where on both camps. As a State Rep, Mike's ties have been forever in the neighborhood. Let's all work to keep our neighborhood friendly to businesses and neighbors

Mike McGeehan admits he has the luxury of buying and selling investment properties. A luxury not had by most of his constituents. Where are his priorities? Please look for our official response coming soon. |
