My question is where can I find clean Japanese food market (or Asian food market) in Northeast section of Philadelphia?
My husband and I make trip to Edgewater NJ to get Japanese foods twice a year but I am looking for Japanese grocery store around Northeast Philadelphia. |

There isn't one. The only full service Japanese supermarket in the Philadelphia area is in Narberth. http://www.maidookini.com/e/index.htm |

It is so funny.
I know Seiko-san and I spoke to her several times on the telephone but she never told me about opening Japanese grocery store in Narbeth PA. Thank you for your information. I also know owner (if still same owner) of You zen Japanese restaurant on Grant Avenue. |

Maido in Narberth has a little bar where you can get noodles and stuff for cheap and it's good. The 44 bus stops right near it and it is within sight of the R5 Narberth stop...just on the other side of the parking lot.

Jammin2285, I am going to visit Seiko-san at Maido in Nerbeth soon with my husband.
Luna C, yes, I went Asian market in China Town many times but because Chinese people and Japanese people eat different foods, I much rather to go Japanese grocery store. |

Scoats, I know there was Japanese grocery store on Chestnut Street on down town called Midori but no longer exist.
I also went near 69th street Asian food mart and another one owned by Korean woman in West Philadelphia but when I checked few weeks ago, these places are no longer exist. When I feel like eating Japanese food, my husband and I go Minado in East Norriton PA All you can eat lunch is $16 dollars and they have all kinds of delicious foods to please you and unlike most restaurant, this place has many vegan/vegetarian alternative foods. www.minado.com |

There is a huge asian supermarket off of adams ave near roosevelt boulevard. I dont know the name but it makes the market on magee and castor seem tiny. I imagine you could get just about anything you can imagine as far as asian food goes. If "clean" is important to you it probably wont be the place for you though, that goes for the market on castor as well.
