[quote=dogghosts]Dino Lake.
I think it is now under the SAM'S CLUB store at Franklin Mills.
As I recall it was back in that area off Knights rd.
I went back there with my wifes kids back in the 70s . The kids knew just where it was. It was there then . Pretty broken up but still there .
Nope. Dinosaur Lake was on the Bensalem Side of Poquessing Creek. It's still there, but dinosaurs are pretty all gone.

Sure is. Right behind the Bensalem Country Club. Use to be a rumor there was a sunken crane in the middle of Dino. We use to go back there and steal golf balls from the golf course.

And let me just say that if that building's ever up for sale it would make a great single-screen neighborhood movie theater again! Just thought I'd mention it in any event.
I live on the other side of the Boulevard.

Go in that furniture store. You will be amazed.

The guy hasn't changed a thing, and the concession stand is his office. I haven't seen it personally yet, but a mailcarrier was telling me about it, and said the guy has left the structure intact. That includes the seating.

Pretty neat. Right? I doubt the guy will sell and probably is only renting that space. Here's to hoping he don't start chopping anything out.

Actually I was wondering yesterday where it would have been if it had a veiw of dinosaur lake.

Now here's a memory from the past. One summer when I was around 12 or 13, our family was vacationing at my grandmother's trailor in beautiful Rio Grande, NJ. One of the diner type restaurants we ate at had placemats listing local attractions. One of these was a hedge sculpture garden that some old guy had been doing for decades on his property. He gave the tours himself. It was somewhere on the main land in Cape May County. He had dozens of hedge sculptures. It was really impressive. It probably helped warp me into who I am today.

It was around the time Disney opened a hotel in Disney World and wanted animal hedges around it. The old guy said they came to him for advice, but he was unimpressed with them since they cheated by using wires. This guy's sculptures were all natural growth.

I'm sure it's all gone now but was quite impressive. Googling reveals nothing on this. Did anyone else ever see it?
Scoats, I never in my life saw that, and we summered in Cape May often.

A friend of mine has a home inland so I'll ask him. My mom's gentleman friend lives there as well, and is in his eighties. He has to know or perhaps one of his buddies.

That's so cool. It very well had an impact on you. You're a creative soul and obviously even young it was developing.

I'm going to ask for you. All I know is I get drug to all those places like that Doctor's summer home. Physic. I think that's his name. The new restraunt, and piano bar in the old Independence Hall place is gorgeous. Nice atmosphere too. It's bringing alot of New Yorkers in. Too steep though for a stay. I rather spend the loot at The Abbey.

That's wonderful! Thanks a lot.

It was never a major tourist attraction or anything. I never saw mentioned except that one time on a restaurant placemat.
