In that case, you're wrong about Joplin. She had terrific pitch control. Her voice was certainly raspy, but not off key.

I wonder if they'll have to move.
I bet a ton of people will be crawling out of the woodwork with their hands out.

I thought Bianca was great, and I'm happy for her for winning. (Her singing wasn't perfect, but being only 11, she's bound to improve.)

However, that kid with the harmonica was A-frickin-mazing.
Everytime he was on I was glued to the TV. *He's* the one whose name will remember in 10 years.

But we'll remember him as "that kid with the harmonica." He is damn good.

The act name was The Millers. But I suspect he'll be solo soon. That's why I just said the "kid with the harmonica."

Smart aleck.

Wow. OK we all have opionions and no she wasnt outstanding but my thoughts are that she is 11 and she had the nerve to get up and do this this. It showed my kids that they can do anything they want to with disipline and the proper training. Oh Yeah and the Miller boys you will see that kid again he was awesome.

Thumbs up Good For Her

This little girl is my neighbor, and I hadn't see any of the shows. She goes to my girlfriends dance school.

DM. I agree with you. It gives children self-esteem, and seeing a kid from the neighborhood win something like that gives them confidence.

No musician am I, but I also heard people say she was nasal and screeched.
Hey, she is 11. Her voice will go through changes. She'll get polished. Some bigwig I am certain by now got ahold of her, and she will receive better coaching and direction.

You can't teach someone to sing. Stage prescence is important too, and from the clips I saw she maybe didn't own it, but guts she did have. In that business that is one of the most important things to have.

You go little girl. Oh, I think the choice of the song now just me wasn't a good one. I mean age wise. That song itself and it's lyrics how can an 11 year old feel it? Did she experience it? Then again what they gonna have her sing? A song from "Little Mermaid"?

Wonder what Pearl was thinking up there?

SHe has been in training for years, and is no stranger to the stage, I think she sounded great. Not nasal and screechy at all. I thought from her first performance that she very well was going to win.
