Default Loud car radios

I must apoligize to the drones that ride around with the ultra loud radios in their cars. There was a time that I said they were self centered smacked ass's . I now see things in a different light.
The other day it was near 100 degrees and what do I hear , why it's a fellow driving down the street in his newer car , a car that no doubt has air conditioning . but the operator has all his windows down just so we all can enjoy the crap that he thinks is music. Aint it thoughtful of him to sacrifice his comfort so we can here it...what a kind fellow .
Now everyone make a heehaw noise like a donkey because that what these dopes are.

I'm sorry you have to endure such loud music. It's not really as bad as it used to be. I seldom hear it.

for the record, some of us actually like the heat!!

MY personal pet peeve are the motorcycles whose pipes you can hear from the ben franklin bridge all the way out to freakin king of prussia! just because those bikers must be deaf from the noise doesn't mean the rest of us want to be!

man i wish this state would enact a helmet law - if anything it would take some bikers off the street. or at least send them back home. my work has another office down in maryland, and my coworkers from there say they loooove to come up and ride in pennsylvania on the weekends because the helmets can come off. hmmm, i see a simple solution that benefits everyone!

A helmet law will only keep more bikers riding. And with a helmet on, the pipes will get even louder.
They say loud pipes save lives. Those pipes are one of the few defenses bikers have to keep cagers alert and away. Try riding one for a day in traffic. You'll wish you had an air-horn.

thats nothing.. Did anyone ever see what the heck went by my house the other day?? I heard this sickening loud stereo and figured Id see a convertible come round the corner with a 100k watt system.. nope. It was a pack of 13 year old latinos on bicycles with the absolute LOUDEST sound system that I have ever heard. The system was mounted on a trailer behind one of the bikes. They were just cruising by popping wheelies and listening to the music. LOL It was pretty funny. About 10 of em..

That is funny. (As long as it's not on my block) My daughter saw the same thing going down the street in Kensington when she was at a company party at the Yards Brewery. She was extrememly amused.

Default Pipes

Funny you should mention the loud pipes . The state has laws that prohibit the removal of baffels from mufflers and there are standards that must be met as far as noise goes but like a lot of quality of life regulations they are not enforced for some reason.
On top of that We had a Harley Davidson for a long time and put a lot of work into it .
If you ask any biker that really knows what he is talking about they will tell you that straight pipes actualy reduces the bikes over all power . I used to get other bikers miffed at me if we went on a ride . There was allways a few that could not sit at a red light without constantly goosing the bike just to hear the blaap blaap blaap. I would say to them " whats wrong with your bike ?' They say " nothing , why ? I would say " why wont you let it just idle ? They then just look at you with the blank look that says Im an A-hole and I like hearing the noise for some reason.

To further Dogghosts point...Why is it that if you have a car with a loud exhaust the police won't hesitate to "let you know" (often threatening or giving a fine)...but if you are on a Harley that is 5 times louder, you aren't bothered. Is it because alot of police officers are Harley owners??? I can't figure that out. I say this because I have a friend with a 1970 Chevelle SS 427. The car is loud, but no where close to as loud as a bike. He will get pulled over or pulled beside at least twice a week.
