sorry i have to disagree with you. GOOD neighbors know when to put the trash out and how to correctly put the trash out. you never have to say a word to a good neighbor other than to wish them a good morning after they've already wished you one. when low life scum moves in who have NO PERSONAL PRIDE in themselves and could give two shits about what you think, they are the cause of the decline in the hood. put the blame where it belongs... yeah i want to make the headline story on philly.com tomorrow about being the 4 bazillionth citizen to get murdered this year because i told a bad neighbor on a 100 degree day, that he was putting his trash out improperly. NOT! |

I've called CLIP. I've called the police district, etc. My husband went out again and spoke to the husband. We'll see how that works
Either way it's getting really, really frustrating. I foresee a move in the next year or two.... |

As I was driving home from the real estate agents office yesterday which was probably about eight to ten blocks I noticed every block had a house for sale. Real estate prices are coming down, people are afraid of losing whatever value they have left in thier house. They want to get out now before they lose tens of thousands of dollars that they could possibly get. You cant be angry at these people they are doing what they think is the best financial thing they can do for themselves. It would be nice to say that we are going to stay and fight, but sometimes you have to be realistic. I challenge anyone to go on a drive, especially in mayfair and find a block without at least one house for sale. They are few and far between. With all these people selling thier houses at prices that continue to drop and out of state investors jumping on them the slow decay is only going to quicken.
I am out of here as soon as possible. I have a four year old child and there is no way in hell he is going to school in philly.

CLIP never showed. After calling the district 3 times myself and having no one ever show I had my husband call (he never identifies himself as a cop) and wouldn't ya know... a cop came out and ticketed the illegally parked car. That was a couple of days ago and it's not been parked there since. I"m hoping not to see it again. As for the other "issues' no, nothing's been done. Like I said my husband spoke to the man of the house again... we'll see what happens.

I agree. We left Philly two years ago and it was the best thing we ever did for us and our child. I wish you the best of luck!!! You won't regret the move!
