LOL! Honey, if he worked at WaWa we would have stayed in Philly and bought a crap house on his **** wages. LOL

You cannot move to a nice area and buy a 250K (starting prices in our area) house on WaWa wages. LOL Nice try.

Hold up. Please do not imply that people who raise their children in Philadelphia do not care about their safety and well-being. That is flat out wrong. How often do you put your child in a car for his/her playdates or soccer games? Seriously, your child is at greatest risk in a car and you probably don't even think about it. I'm not saying you should get rid of your car (if you have one), just pay attention to what you're saying. Would you assert that people who drive their kids where they need to go don't care about their safety and well-being?

Also, drugs are EVERYWHERE. I would bet good money a neighbor or two, or someone in close proximity to your neighborhood deals right out of their home...it may even be the house with the white picket fence...

Again, I'm glad you are comfortable with your move but don't kid yourself...you are no better than anyone else because you chose to live somewhere else.

Hey, I was just answering the questions you all so desperately wanted to know and asked. LOL And, I love how you all just ignore the fact that I said I first came here for a specific reason (looking up info about something that is happening in my old area). Now I'm just hanging here for fun. Hell, you all act as tho I just didn't have anything better to do and wandered on here. LOL That's your job. LOL

MY OLD AREA was GOING DOWNHILL. So, the best thing for us was to MOVE!!!!! I asked you all why are we so wrong for doing that??????

Oh this thread is now just getting too stupid for words. For those of you that feel too "unsafe" living in the really pretty safe NE, well good luck to you. I hope you find what you are looking for. For the rest of us that choose to stay behind because we find something of value here, regardless of the dumbassed politicians we will someday be rid of, and a few other things, let's try and focus on some ways to open up the dialogue on how to go about making things better before it is lost. Personally, one of my votes is for a Business Improvement District for some of the main commercial corridors in the NE, west of the Boulevard, since there are none there. Mark Cohen are you listening, and can you help me with DCED for this venture?

No one asked you what you do (or what your husband does).

I agree with you. I too hope that you guys get better people in there that will help the city instead of destroying it any further. Mayor Street should have been gone a long time ago. He's done NOTHING for the area. I would love to see those old neighborhoods restored and go back to the safe enviroment in which I grew up in.

Well elsewhere it was hinted at that we don't work or have crap jobs. I was just telling it like it is.

So what are you doing?

You took your tax money and spending power out of the city.

Regardless of who's running the city..tax money is needed to fund even the sub par services we do get (like Fire-Rescue and Roads)

If I had a heart attack...on the whole...I'd much rather be in Philadelphia (wc fields...heheeh)

Thank you! I do hope we can move on! This IS getting old. I have tried talking of other things like the old Devon theater. And, I am no where near Core Creek park but I know what ya mean. I have even tried to, just a min ago, speak of other things that Hospitality brough up. So, we will see if the focus is FINALLY taken off of me. I hope so. Thanks for being kind.

Unholy...we all say mean stupid things...

We will forgive you. Just start saying nice things now and again

Like...Gee you guys should come check out Core Creek park up by me...or

I remember back in Philly we used to (enter fond memory here)

We all know the NE had issues. It doesn't have as many as we all thought.
