Default New Gates

New gates are going up at Sandyford and Ryan to prevent dumping in the park. They have already put a guardrail around the grass. I think the gates may extend to the driveway for Austin Meehan; however, I am not certain about that.

Fopp paid for the gate up at Krewstown road but Fairmount Park will be paying for the one on Ryan Ave. It is a shame you have to lock the driveways to the perimeter of the park for acts of a small percentage of people. I hope that this will stop or at least decrease dumping back along this area.

I'm not familar with the gates at Krewstown road. How do these prevent dumping? Doesn't the street go through the park?

The gates are in the parking lot just past the bridge. There is also a wooden fence around the rest of the lot. Looking at my last post, I said Krewstown road but was talking about the parking lot there. That parking lot has been a problem area for all kinds of dumping.

Just the cars Pete. There is access for someone to just walk around the fence.
