Earth Day Clean Up at Hegermen & Frankford
Hi! Here's a good opportunity to help bring back the Poquessing Creek in Northeast Philly. Hope to see you there!
 Earth Day Clean Up in the Poquessing - Volunteers needed to help remove litter and illegal dumping along the Poquessing Creek in Philadelphia What: Earth Day cleanup at Frankford Ave. and Hegerman St., Philadelphia When: Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 9:00 am. Rain date: Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 9:00 am Where: Meet at Frankford Ave. and Hegerman St., behind the 7-11. -Exit I-95 onto Academy Road heading north. Turn Right onto Frankford Ave. (U.S. Rt. 13) at first light. Continue north to Hegerman St. on the right (Knights Road on the left). Turn right onto Hegerman and park along the street. -Septa Bus Route 66 ends at the border of the city at Frankford and Hegerman. If you have any questions or you want to register, contact: Sue Snyder, PA CleanWays 1-877-772-3673, ssnyder@pacleanways.org or Jackie Olson, Fairmount Park 215-685-0427. Registration deadline is April 20, 2006. All volunteers should wear sturdy shoes/boots, long sleeves, and long pants. For youth volunteers age 8-17 call PA CleanWays for participation requirements. Lunch and drinks will be provided. The cleanup will be postponed in case of inclement weather. Call 877-772-3673 for a recorded message on the status.

Don't meet and if they ever do we're all going to need a cleanup.

Is that Hegerman, a Street or a Road?
There's a Hegerman Street at Frankford in Mayfair too. It took me a while to realize you meant the one that feeds directly into Knights Road up at the city line. Good luck with your clean-up.

Now you're confusing me scoats. Where is hegerman street and frankford in mayfair?
I know of hegerman street which runs a block east of torresdale in wiss and tacony. And I thought it was the same street when it meets knights road. Anyway, good luck with your clean-up. Unfortuanately I won't be able to make it. Hope it goes well though.

ACK! You're right!
The Hegerman in the Far NE had confused me in the past, obviously it still does. It doesn't appear to be a continuation of Hegerman in Tacony/Wiss, though on a city planning map it probably does look logical, like how all the Tolbut Streets sort make some sense when looked at on a map. I was confusing Hellerman with Hegerman. D'oh!

Earth Day Clean Up Address
Hi! Just to clarify... The park clean-up is at the intersection of Frankford Ave. and Hegermen St. Knight St. does turn into Hegermen St. at Frankford Ave. The clean-up site is right behind the 7-11 on Frankford Ave. Hope to see you there!
