Default out in the garden!

People out cleaning their lawns...I believe it may almost be time to cut ours!!!!! I love to mow the lawn!!!! How about you?
I want to grow "elephant ears" in planters, does anyone here have good experience with these in full sun?

We have zoysia grass...so it is still yellow at the moment. Hoperfully, it will go green soon.

I enjoy mowing the lawn. It's usually my Sunday morning activity.

I've got to go get some fertilizer.

I don't mind mowing the lawn. I use a push mower and hand shears for edging. I grew elephant ears in planters (part sun/mostly shade). The leaves never got very big and didn't have the impact I wanted. I think they prefer shade. They need ALOT of water.

I did plant one last year, and thats pretty much the result I had, maybe I should try one out back on the lot! Little more shade back there! Any more ideas for full sun plants?

Marigolds, zinnia, petunias, geranium, vinca, celosia, salvia...beautiful! There's alot more obscure plantings at places like Feeney's, Creek's Edge, Woodhaven Nursery. And an all time favorite nursery, Bisirri's!
