Alright, Sister. Put us to shame. You love to mow the lawn. What?

Please don't tell me you mean those "elephant ears" the Vietnamese grow.
If you mean them you won't have a lawn to cut. Them suckers are hugamagantic, man. Then they need a trellis. Lord knows I don't want to live in the jungle. Like, hey whatever you're into, but them things are nuts.

Where are some other good nurseries in the NE? I just cleared all the debris and giant weeds from the little plot in the front of my house and the dirt looks really good. I want to put in flowers that will last through the summer. I went to that farmers market on Township Line Rd. just past Burholme and they said that stuff won't be available for a couple more weeks.

It's a little early to start planting flowers. Last frost averages about mid-May, so you should be good to go after that. I usually don't plant anything before Mother's Day weekend, just to be on the safe side. One year I put my impatiens in a tad too early, and the poor little things got zapped one chilly night.

Your best bet is to plant bulbs and certain other perennials (like forsythia and clematis) in fall so that you can have early spring blooms... Although I am more impatient than MzzSpellcheck so I start putting out flowers that can tolerate cold (some pansies, for example) at the first signs of good weather. I have some monarda, etc., scheduled for shipping in mid-April.
