ARGH!!!!!!!!!! Our NJ hs goes up for sale next WEEK and my lazy azz husband STILL has not done the few things I asked him to, one of which was to rip up all this grass and weed crap and lay down MULCH!

One reason we're going back to Philly is to have far LESS of it!

My "garden" is just a small cement square behind my South Philly row home - but I am already getting excited about all the herbs I am going to plant this year! I'm seeing small pots of sage, bay leaf, thyme and others in stores and my eyes go wide in anticipation of just going out back and cutting a few basil leaves to throw in my salad! :shock:

But I have to clean and organize my pots first - and I worry about any cold spell that might come along - so I'm holding off for now. But it makes me happy to think about.

I have a small patio out front that I can put containers on and I also have some grass, but I have the most gorgeous Hibiscus that returns every year that I want to thin out and replant around the yard.

I cant wait to plant my flowers. But I think its still to early, but cleaning it out has been easier with the nice weather hanging around. I have 2 rose bushes in my kitchen window that I got for Valentines day that have healthy roots but man do they look sickly. I have been messing with them for a bit and cant wait to root them in some beautiful soil in the garden out front. I love flowers. And yes Mayfair you hibiscus is beautiful, makes me jealous.

God I love the spring Did you ever notice how happy ya get as soon as the weather turns nice off of winter? Its a great feeling..

At my new house, some of the Tiger Lillies I replanted seem to be coming up, which seems early for them. There are what seem to be some perrenial flowers coming up on the side on the side of the house that I don't recognize; it will be interesting to see what they are.

The trees I planted in late fall haven't really begun to do anything yet.

I hate it. Hate this time of year. This morning's rain is my type of weather too. I rather have fall that's when I get peppy, and cheery. Oh, wait I'm always peppy, and cheery.

Supposedly Mayfair used to known for their azallias (sic). They all bloom at once, and we have tons of prom pics from outside from back when. My mom said people from other neighborhoods always admired Mayfair for this.

We do imaptients (sic). Alot of us in a row of houses, and it looks nice. Man, we're just a bunch of horticulturists I think. Yeah, after this rain it will be easier to turn that soil. Good thinking DM.
