I stayed at Caesars Palace. These hotels are so big you can get lost and I did. They are actually mini-cities, with restaurants, bars, retail shops, casinos, etc. You actually don't have to leave your hotel there's so much to do. It's quite the experience. The best part is that I came home with $40 more than I left with! Have fun and stay safe! |

My girlfriend just did her honeymoon at the Treasure Island joint. Obviously there's a ton of small children. From the photos the Venitian is beautiful. My sister-in-law doesn't gamble so she shopped. High end too. The kids who are teens did all the rides. You're staying at probably what is one of the nicest places. Oh, spa too. Fine dinning if that's your thing. The time my brother, and mom went by themselves is the night poor Roy got mauled by the tiger. My bro, and mom had front row seats. Thank heavens they couldn't tear themselves away from the ching-chinging machines, and missed it. We see it on TV, and my daughter is crying "Look there's mom-mom with the big poofy hair." as they showed footage. You just have a blast. You deserve it. Safe journey. Pick me up when ya hit the big one will ya? |

Vegas = Best Place Ever
and I don't even gamble! Tons of stuff for everyone. I stayed at the MJM Grand and basically lived in the 6 pool/lazy river complex during the day and ate at the best buffets ever then went clubbing all night! The Bellagio Buffet was sadly one of the best things I ever saw. Endless crablegs and steak...the real deal... The constant drinking was the other...they let you walk on the streets with the glasses! For kids there's the roller coasters and cools stores like the M&M shop... You'll have a good time...just plan a bit. It's quite large and a little overwhelming.

I've stayed at Vegas six times and it's great and yes, I love to gamble. Craps and Black Jack is what I play. I saw the Blue Man Group when they played at Luxor, loved the show. Buffets there are usually pretty good. I recommend Bellagio, Spice Market at Aladdin and Paris is great for breakfast. Mesa Grill at Caesars was delicious but pricey. I don't know how long you're going to be there, but try to do a day trip to Grand Canyon or some other area outside of Vegas. Catch the view of the strip from atop the Stratosphere or the Eiffel Tower. And try to get to Downtown Vegas for great gambling and a taste of old time Vegas.
Have fun!

Hey, thanks for all the great tips on Vegas! Now I'm really psyched! Sounds like quite a few of you might think about headin' there either for the first time or a re-visit!
I'm not a gambler, might play a few things for fun, but I'm looking forward to the shows, restaurants and just being in "Vegas Baby!" The suggestion about getting off the beaten path to see the Grand Canyon is a great idea, we only have about 4 days, so we'll see. Leavin' tomorrow, so I'm getting packed. Thanks again! |
