Hey Mayfairchick, my Wife and I were just talking about buying bikes for ourselves. I definitely put on a couple of pounds over the winter. Can't wait for the spring and I heard that the bike trail at Pennypack goes all the way from Frankford Ave. to Pine Road. C'mon on Spring!!!

Yeah the trail goes to state rd, but you cross torresdale and frankford at street level, after that its all the way to pine without coming out of the park. You'll almost forget you're in the 5th largest city in the country.

I am looking forward to my kids all being big enough to ride in the park together,

Yo, don't let that deceive you! I was 275 lbs when I got back on my bikes, now I'm around 150. Get a mountain bike, its sturdy enough! Too many big ppl assume wrongly that they can't ride bikes anymore. Did you know they have cycling clubs for big folk? BICYCLING magazine had an article about them in fact.
