Unfortunately there will be no meet-up as I am now officially a resident of New Jersey.
The bitch, er ex-housemate kicked me out for the lamest excuse EVAR and I had to do a quick move to Mount Holly. We'll be here temporarily but have settled on an apartment in Red Bank. I'm looking forward to this new chapter in my life. I will miss the Grey Lodge and the city of Philadelphia, but new adventures await. I'll still be lurking on this board though. ![]()

I'm from Mt. Holly. I hope you enjoy your stay there. I haven't been to the Vincentown Diner since it went non-smoking and that was a couple years back but it used to be good! The snapper soup was their thing!
Acme is the better grocery store in town. Also, High Street has some nice places to visit. It's a nice small town. What neighborhood will you be in? The only area I'd avoid is the ghetto- The Gardens. Other than that, it is a super safe town. Melissa |

They are now refering me to Landlord-Tenant court, but it has to wait until Tuesday. They will grant me an injunction to get in the house to collect my belongings and I may be able to file charges against her and possibly get her locked up. Other than that there is nothing more I can do. This is beyond ridiculous. I was the best roommate she could ever have -- always paid rent on time, was barely in the house to begin with, and didn't have a lot of stuff, and didn't even use common areas all that much. She's just a f-ing "c" word. I'm sorry I don't like to say that but in this case it really is appropriate! *sigh*I'm frazzled as you may imagine. ![]()

Yeah ACE, it's quite clear to everyone I know and have told that she is breaking the law. I guess she doesn't realize this or other (stupid) people are telling her it's completely legal to keep me from my things. The cops said it's called "theft by unlawful taking". So when I go to the court I hope they issue an order for her to open the door and just let me get my things. She can have anybody she wants there, a gaggle of friends, family members, and the police can all be there. I just want to get IN and get my stuff out of there. I don't think that is much to ask for!!
She's just vile.

Anyways, Judge Judy said essentially what you said above and found for the tennant giving a judgement for the unused part of the rent and for the stuff that the landlord admitted she sold. Good luck! Last edited by ml73 : 02-19-2006 at 11:41 PM. |
