Default Other Restaurants

Guido's is great, and you can sign up for their mailing list on their website and get a $20 gift certificate mailed to you like once a month.

http://www.guidosrestaurant.com/

Another good place is Zaccone's on Cottman at Sackett. I went their recently with a group of 6 people, and it was great and very inexpensive. Like Guido's it is BYOB, but that just helps to keep the price down as far as I'm concerned.

If you want to spend some $$$ got to Macaroni's on Old Bustleton.

http://www.macaronis.net/

Honestly, I have NEVER had a bad meal there. It is definitely worth the money for a special occasion.

I just got my e-mail from Guido's. We do a February all inclusive Birthday there every February. I like going in summer though as it's not as crowded.
Either way it's always excellent.

Zaccone's another excellent one. Yummy.

BTW if several people in your dinning party have their $20 coupons you can only use the one. LOL Last year we were like "Wow. The entire meals will now only cost us like $15 bucks" Makes sense of course.

Smile NE Restaurants

I have often wondered about that Zacone's restaurant. I really have never known anyone who has gone there. May have to check the place out.

I have never heard of the Macaroni restaurant, they have a nice menu. Will also have to check that place out. I signed up for the coupon.

I have also in the past received the Guido's coupons. That really is a good reason to go to get the discount and have a good meal. They have terific Veal dishes there. I am also craving at this time. I have to get over there again for a meal. Also they have an appetizer sampler platter that can be shared with a group that is out of this world.

I think that sounds like a great idea!

That's funny you're craving a veal dish.

If we did a PB dinner at Guido's we'd take up that entire front room.

I'll bring the Kitty Karry All Kooler with the wine.

I looked up the Gourmet Restaurant online- too pricy and not impressed enough with the selection to try it... I live close by and it never looks like anyone is eating there!

I ate at the French place in the late 80's. It was good and pricey. The atmosphere and the way we were treated made it well worth the price. There was a singer and violin player there that night and they serenaded us yet were not overbearing. It was my first full course meal and I felt a bit like a moron when they kept serving me the "sherbert"? between courses to "cleanse the pallet".<SP?> I said to my then-girlfriend: "What...ice cream again?" She was a student at the Restaurant school at the time and a bit more savvy and basically told me to shut my pie-hole.
That was nearly 20 years ago and I forgot all about it until I read this post. It brought back a flood of memories and although I'm sure it has changed, while typing this I've decided I'm going to take my wife there next weekend for our weekly date night!
Thank you for the memory!

Default favorite resturants

Sounds like a place we would love to try also. Esp since hubby is French. I think we will look it up also and check the hours and choices.

Thanks for this thread on the resturant....

We actually went to the most pricey resturant i ever ate at on New Years eve.

La Croix in the Rittenhouse Hotel.

The food was to die for .. And the bill was also to die after we saw it.lolzzzzzzzzzzzz
