So what are you going to do to get them involved?

Looking for ideas to work with, something similar could probably take place involving the Northeast, but would need planning for next year's Book and the Cook, we've sort of got this one wrapped up already.
Some ideas were to involve local caterers, such as Conroy Catering which does the Knowlton Mansion, Pen Ryn (which is slightly Northeast of the Northeast), then of course there are local places such as JFM and Romano's and others.
One that we're trying to locate did a catering event for Martin Luther King Day at St. Joachim's Church this past MLK (article in local paper) that Councilman Mariano attended, Joan Oliveto Catering, (did a Google search, but only came up with the article) We can't seem to locate info on this caterer, if anyone has any info it would be helpful.
Then, of course, to highlight some restaurants in and around the area that might offer some ethnic foods or just plain good fare, such as The Austrian Village for German, seeking great Mexican, Italian, and more.
Then, there's the angle of great beer places and Scoats, the Grey Lodge is right up there! The Brauhaus, and maybe some others....
Any ideas?

Where on Castor is Paloma? Is it Mexican or Southwestern? Haven't been there yet.

Paloma is a combo of Mexican and French. I'm not sure of the exact location on Castor (I'm still new around here afterall) but it is around the new Eckard drug store if you know where that is. (it's across the blvd, going toward cottman) Below is a link about the place: It is run by a guy from Le Bec-Fin. I'd love to go there sometime...

It's on Castor between Hellerman and Magee on the southbound side of the street. I've also wanted to try it.

Paloma is a really great, high end restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Joan Oliveto is the women who's opening the restaurant on Frankford Avenue. She donated her services for the event, as well as the Frankford Group Ministry's holiday dinner in December.
