I will definitely let you all know how things turn out, but it won't be for a while. We're not looking to move in for painting/renovations until May and for living until June. And we are not sure yet where we will end up. We have lots of decisions to make...

Bless you sweetie. All that going on with the baby doll.

Everything here is stroller good though. I walked a dang pram twice a day, and got my figure back fairly quickly.

All good things for you.

Here are some nice houses that are on nice streets in your price range. I would recommend only looking at stone front homes as they sell very quickly and retain their value better than the brick front homes. I would also try and stay between cottman, knorr, frankford and the boulevard. and try to stay a block or two away from the major streets like the boulevard, frankford and cottman...which pretty much narrows it down to a few blocks, not to say that the other locations are not nice...but these are the cream of the crop and you should only be looking at the best if you are willing to pay $190k.

You guys are so amazing! I should have gotten on here a long time ago. I can't believe how quickly some of these houses are moving...just found them and already under contract. (Of course they have been on the market longer than when I found them but still...) We were planning on coming up this weekend to tour the area but my husband has call at the hospital so that is out. Hopefully next weekend.

Default house in mayfair part 2

i should have also said that the house has been on the market for several weeks now with no indication of selling...i don't know if that bodes well to the condition/interior of the house!

Best block in the world. I lived 3028. Best neighbors in the world also.

Do you live on the side that has the gardens out back? Ours was already purchased by the people next door so they had two. Of course you know our dear lady with the Blessed Mother. Nice, nice lady. I have to get over, and see my elderly neighbors who lived on the step with me. Nicest people ever.

You got a great block eirie.

I have forgotten to ask several times now...how is street parking in Tacony and Mayfair? Easy to find or hard to come by? We can regularly spend up to 30 or 45 mins looking for parking around our current place in CC and really don't want to do that anymore. We are mainly looking for something with a driveway or garage but in case we can't find one it would be nice to know what we are facing. Thanks!

in response to your questions about parking. in tacony and mayfair...i don't know about tacony but most of the houses in mayfair typically have a parking spot in the breezeway of the houses so you are guaranteed at least one spot. usually there are no problems finding parking...i can usually find a spot right in front of my house...if not on the block or the side streets within 5 minutes...a far cry from the 30 to 45 minutes you are used to i suppose.
