This guy is homeless. He grew up here. He is an old biker guy who many, many years ago went off. He still tries to see if his mom is home. His mom died many years ago. I know the young couple live in his old house.

Now I still will walk with my daughter if he's pacing because you never know if he did or didn't take meds. Anything could happen, but in the longrun he's just some poor, sick guy.

I got asked for money too a few times by people on that little square in front of the closed Ekard. Don't know if they're homelss of not, but sad all the same. Just wanted to touch on that.

I soon as I read your post I knew it was "Crazy Anderson". Not sure if that's really his name, but he's always been called that. We haven't seen him for a long time and he turned up last year walking around the neighborhood. He's been hanging at Acme - Harbison & Blvd, and Dunkin Donuts - Frankford & Fanshawe. Was told he lived on 2900 Unruh.

Just a note: That guy with the sign at the Blvd and Cottman really is homeless. His money goes mainly to drugs, but really has no home to call his own. He stays at group homes, shelters, etc. He's been looking bad lately, his complexion is dark red, always looking down at the ground or just away into space. Even though giving him a buck or two means supporting his heroin habit, it helped him survive another agonizing day. Yes, we can say," Let him O.D." and forget him, but so far, this guy manages to stay alive all these years, which shows some degree of responsibility, as crazy as that sounds.
I'd rather him beg for money than, grap an old lady's handbag. Really, he is harmless. At least so far.

Andy Anderson. Yep. Yeah supposedly the mom died, and now he keeps looking for her.

All the kids are like "Whoa". Then all us old people that remember him as kids are like "Oh he's harmless". My mom's like yeah, and if one day he don't take his meds he's harmless?

Come on. I went to Acme one night in the summer. I'm walking up, and I see this big bag of trash at that last house by the drive of Acme. It's right in the middle of the sidewalk. I'm like "What the heck?"

I get close, and it's Andy sleeping. I mean that would scare the Bageezus out of anyone who don't know him.

Remember his brother? He could only walk on his toes? I feel bad for him though. He used to hang with Brous gang. He was not always like that.

Anyone who goes to Acme at Harbison&Boulevard will eventually run into Andy Anderson. He's looking for his mom. He told me her phone has been ringing by the FBI for six years. O.K. Great. He really never asks for anything ever. I throw him a few ciggies sometimes as he passes. He never, ever once asked anyone for money or anything ever that any of us know.

Hell of scarry guy though. Thank goodness he don't wear the dress anymore.
