There used to be the guy with one arm further up on the Boulevard. Maybe Rhawn, and he stood on the medium. He had a hook for his arm, and held a bucket with it. He proudly displayed a sign he was a Vietnam Vet. My girlfriend is a drug/alcohol counselor. She's a Pisces, and thinks she Mother Teresa, and gives to everyone. We're at the light, and she starts yelling at the guy. Mean stuff. I'm like "Yo the dude's a vet" She goes confidentiality prevents me from saying anything, but DO NOT give that dude money. He ain't a vet, he has a large home, and a nice car. O.K. BTW MC, there is a Community Center out back of the pet store. Whatever the heck that's called. World Wide I think. They help alot with people with mental health issues so we do see alot of people walking to and fro up, and down the Avenue going there. Don't think they are homeless, but unfortunately if they don't take their meds whooo you better watch out. I know it happens to me when I forget my own. So you guys look out for me. |

At least I don't think so. That's been there for years. You only see it if you're coming down Knorr from Tacony. Once in awhile they have a table like a flea market kind of thing. Just what they do there i have no idea. A few summers ago this dude would walk up, and down the avenue. He'd nod or say hi to people. I had to wait for my daughters bus from theater camp so I saw him every single day. Suddenly one day he was MEAN, and screaming, and stuff. I was like "Whoa". He was like that for a little while, and then suddenly BOOM he was back to his nice howdy doody. So I guess it's just a place for them to hang or eat or something. |

MOE EYE POKE. A method used by Moe of The Three Stooges. The only defense is to hold your hand against your nose laterally which stops the ol' poke in the eyeballs.
Single? Hey, these guys are pulling down some loot. Between the cars on the Boulevard, and all that aluminum they salvage or steal they gotta have some money for a date. You just go ahead, and laugh DM. No 401K though. If that dude is doing heroin he just might have been breaking into the car the girl asked us to help with. Oh nice one. I can see me getting locked up for helping someone get their pretend keys out of their car. Although I doubt he'd do that so close to his business. He'd be losing $15.00 an hour. Polar, I hope your friend is doing good. It'd be so sad to see him having to hold a sign up begging. Yeah, the guy should just tell the truth. People might feel even worse for him. Then again try to run him over. |

I knew that guy had to be a fake. He has been hanging around for such a long time. Sometime have seen him up further at Ryan and the Blvd.
Knew he was fake, he is just too clean. When ever I would see him he has different clothing on. Plus he is not hauling any belongings with him in a bag. How can he get away with doing the fake panhandling act for sooo long? And God I can't believe the guy actually has a car. And the cops can't do anything about him, other than just warning him to leave? Have they ever arrested him? And if he is a heroin addict, if they searched him he probably has drugs on him. Years ago when I would go to work on the EL there was this guy who would walk through the cars and hand out cards saying he was deaf and needed money something to that effect. He would then go back to everyone and collect his cards and if you wanted to give him money you could. Well I would see him do this for years, and think to myself, HE IS SUCH A FAKE. A few years ago I read in the paper that they FINALLY arrested him and exposed him as a fraud. Does anyone remember that guy? He probably found another area to work. |
