Yea, no doubt I would like to meet up with scoats and check it out. I wont be able to get up to Philly until the end of April or May though... I checked out the photo tour, and Tacony definatly looks like a place I could live.

I live in the NE and am married to an Italian...so there is at least 1 Italian in Somerton (correction she is only half Italian so I guess that counts as a 1/2 Italian in Somerton)

Swinefeld is awesome. He has posted photo tours of several neighborhoods, and to me they really give you a feel for the places.

Lightbulb Lower Part Of Port Richmond

There is a lower part of Port Richmond (below indiana ave to somerset) which is filled with a lot of italians. It is a small pocket. It is the catholic parrish of MDG. Mother Devine Grace. They have a italian bazarr every year during the summer months. That area also seems to be appreciating in value quickly as it is close to the city & is a fairly safe "up and coming" area. the people who are there, seem to stay put or die there.
