Default Just wondering...

Over behind Roosevelt Mall there is a giant parcel of land, it looks like it might be a park but its just a humungous parcel of land..its like right behind where Strawbridges is past those apartments right off the boulevard. I was just thinking what an excellent spot for new housing, or a rec center or a dog park.... even t-ball feilds, anyone know what that parcel sits empty for? I would imagine it attracts alot of dogs being walked. I feel its just a waste of space.

I just took a gander at that parcel on Google Earth. Quite a Big Piece. I would afraid to see that developed though, since they would jam a huge amount of houses, into an area which really doesnt nead anymore

I agree if a developer got ahold of it they would really cram it full of houses, but what is its purpose now? Very strange..I have often wondered when passing it if it used to be a ball park or something.

Well, it's very simple; if you like it the way it is, buy it and you'll own it and keep it as it is.

A lot of people walk their dogs there.

I wouldn't call it a waste of space. I prefer seeing some green there, instead of houses crammed in there.

Green is good but green and dog crap isnt..I dont care how many people pick it up it still stinks when people use parkland as a doggie toilet.
What I was thiking of is more a walking path, or tot playground things like that.

I believe the spot is called Bradford Park or something, and its part of Fairmount park.

It intrigues me that no community group or residents have ever tried to upgrade it to a more usable space.

It intrigues me that the dude that ripped my friends purse right off her arm in that parking lot actually ran that way.

He should've caught that 70 bus.
