Default Private swim clubs

I am looking for a private swim club in the Northeast.... We dont really know anyone who belongs to them so getting in may be a problem if we dont have letters of recomendation. Does anyone have any info on them? You can PM me, with any info you have!

MayfairChick, I know that the Torresdale Swim Club has a waiting list. You may want to try Somerton Springs, which may be alittle further away than you want to travel. My family and I used to belong to it years ago.

Somerton did not require a bond. They did however interview the family. It was a short interview.

If you don't behave you're going to have to go to Max Myers or Vogt.

We belonged to Somerton Springs back in my daughter's toddler days. It was very nice.

Or how about Jardel? Nothing like swimming in a pool surrounded by a treeless concrete slab.

Well we already do the Public pool thing , I was just looking for something a little more flexible, than a two hour window of swim time! I take my kids to Mitchell Pool that seems to be the cleanest of the pools I have been to so far, the lifegaurds are great and they also have a day camp that looks like alot of fun!
But I would like my husband to be able to go swim with the kids and usually when he gets home from work most of the Philly pools are closed. (after 6:00pm) Another problem I run into is the mouths on the kids at the recs when they are pretty much unsupervised...I dont want my kids thinking it is okay to talk like that. SO between the mouths and the broken glass...Id like to try a private club.

Ewwwwwwwwww Vogt, we tried that one summer the pool was disgusting, nothing but hair and bugs in the pool..... the playground is FILTHY they clean it on occasion, but its so gross even when they sweep it up it looks filthy. Thats another place that some of the teens that hang out there are awful....mouths in the gutter and no consideration for the little kids on the playground. We wont be going there this year.
