Strangely, they began talking about Byberry and Woodhaven early (I got there at 7:20 and the meeting was alreayd underway, even though it didn't officially start until 7:30). They are still negotiating how many homes to build on the Byberry tract. Woodhaven - they are working on a plan to finish it, hopefully by April, and will be having public meetings to discuss the process.
The main focus of the meeting was a building issue at 13498 Proctor Road. The developer, Rocco Cavallo, was at the September meeting. He wants to put three homes in a lot where there was one. The area is zoned R2. The last house does not meet the 25 ft yard setback requirement for such a zoning, but Cavallo got an over-the counter permit from L & I. Also of concern is the fact that the homes are on the 100 year flood plain (a tributary of the Poquessing Creek runs through the property). The civic is taking the builder to court - they have filed an appeal and need to wait for it to go through before scheduling a hearing date.
