Default Good Pizza in Frankford Area

Hello everyone. Since I've transplanted from Pennsport to Northwood/Frankford this summer, I haven't been able to get decent pizza. It's all too greasy and cheesy. I need good crust! I need some good gravy!

I'm not driving back to South Philly for it.

Can anyone help? Some time ago someone mentioned a place on Frankford Ave, but I didn't get the name.

Thanks!
Amy

Where are you getting good Pizza in Pennsport? Two Street Pizza?

There are plenty of good pizza places in and aroung Frankford.

1. Tony's Place - Lower Mayfair/Wissinoming On Frankford ave above Harbison
2. Santucci's - Few locations - Mayfair,Bridesburg.
3. Charlies - Blvd.
4. Tacconnelli's - Port Richmond
5. You could get a Tomato Pie at Gaetas in Rhawnhurst
6. Grey Lodge - Great Bar Tomato Pie.
7. Bakery Pizzas - Nonno Ugo's, DePalmas, Gino's Bakery on Frankford Ave,

Leandro's Pizza at Frankford and Sellers is good. It's been around for a long time, since the Avenue was vibrant and I think the son has it now. They have a good, traditional pie.

I'll second Charlies Pizza on the Boulevard near Whitaker. They put the gravy on top, so it's not your traditional pie, but still good.

Good luck!

This is getting a bit out of Frankford, but Fanti's at 6615 Martin's Mill Rd.. (near Rising Sun & Unruh) is very good.

Maybe not the same area, but Vince's is my absolute favorite. The white cheese with garlic is to die for!
