Are they still the same?
It's NOT the same ever since it was sold. That place used to be packed. Now, every time I pass at 6:00pm, it's empty or two people are in there. Vince's, which is run by the same original Charlie's family is now the "old Charlies" on Grant near Bustleton. The pizza there is also upside down and fully cooked. Just like we remember from Charlie's in the past.
I still say for traditional or Sicilian, Aldo's at Bustleton and Verree is excellent.
None of that soggy crust or half-cooked crap. And their sauce(gravy) is the best. EVERY pie there is built and cooked by the owners only !!

I ate at Fanti's a couple of nights ago and they have the most awesome chicken cutlet with spinach and roasted peppers sandwich. Got me thinking though, how did you Mayfair people manage to steal Frusco's from us?

Has anyone ever tried Zeps pizza on Bustleton Ave? They have a really good large plain pizza for only $6.95. They also offer shish kabobs which are very good too. Thier chicken and cheese steaks aren't that great. I would stay away from thier fries too, they are not too good (unless you like those fake plasticy death dries) I would also try out thier buffalo wings they are really tasty and different from most other places.

Anyway they are located at 9965 Bustleton Ave. Philadelphia, Pa 19115
