They have a motel in west Philly called "Blue Moon" Swim club (51st and Westminister Ave). It used to house an indoor pool back in the day, but not anymore...

And suprisingly, they get a LOT of business. My family has been working there for years and I will say, you see a LOT of people creeping in and out of that place....a lot of neighborhood folk....

People used to come through there trying to sell anything and everything....

It caught fire a few years back, but they have since added another wing and another elevator...

The first-of-the-month customers are always coming through....it's like clockwork for them...they get their check..pick up a little fine woman...spend some of that SSi, Soc Sec, Pension, retirement check, and chill....

Crazy isn't it?

they could do more productive things with their money. not that I am against chillin with women. It's just if they invested their money the right way, they could have more money to do things with.

I pass by it all the time when I go to work.

I read that back in day (the "day" meaning decades, and even almost a century ago) a few of the houses on the Blvd. were hotels. I guess tourists who could not afford a hotel downtown stayed there. That area was still considered "countryside".

I remember there being FOUR "no-tel-mo-tels" in my hometown. If you lived in the town you didn't dare even PARK there for fear someone recognized your car (gossip travels at faster-than-light-speeds! ).

Truckers with crappy/no sleeper cabs use them. All they need is a shower and a TV and for it to be as cheap as possible (motels cut into their profit). I must say, if your life consists of sitting behind a wheel most of the day until your rear is sore and finding bathrooms is limited... getting any motel room sounds wonderful... why not round off the day with cheap beer, syndicated TV and a BJ?

Out in the sticks, the whores are armed with CB radio as well as NEXTEL... since that's how they find their customers.


It must be a trip to watch a girl monitoring what looks like satellite equipment.... "I gotta find me some d***!!!!"
