I should post this in the North Philadelphia forum too, but, doesn't anyone think the area north of La Salle Unversity, and north of Kemble Park on Ogontz Avenue has major potential? Great housing stock and they're big houses. I looked there once on Virginian Road and the place was just $89,000. Now they seem to go for well over $130,000.

I think one of the nicest areas tucked between Germantown and Olney is this area - all the way up to Stenton Avenue you can find interesting places to live.

I agree with that motion, too, even though Wister St, the dividing line for Germantown and Logan looks like either an earthquake hit it or the locals just didn't give a you kn ow what, but the Broad and Olney area is basicaaly the best part of North Philly (along w/ the Ogontz/WOL area)!!!

I dont have a problem with a individual person due to their race but with very few exceptions, if a neighboorhood is predominantly negro, it has crime issues. Its a fact of life and if you want to censor me, thats your problem.

Overbrook in West Philly and Mt. Airy are black neighborhoods that are low crime. so your statement is bogus.

You didnt read my last post throroughly as I said "with very few exceptions". The fact is that Philiy neighborhoods took a turn for the worse when whites moved out and blacks moved in. Frankford, Sommerdale, Strawberry Mansion, SW Philly, the list goes on and on. Sorry, but 2 areas out of a whole city does not refute my point.

Fishtown was never a craphole compared to most negro neighborhoods and Kensington is 1/3 white trash, 1/3 negro and 1/3 latrino. Answer me...was Frankford, SW Philly, Olney and Summerdale better or worse when they were predominantly white neighborhoods?
