Actually, this is the SECOND time the store owner has killed a would-be robber in 14 years. A bystander said this is about the 5th or 6th time he's been robbed. Between killings, he moved his store to a different location in WOL.

I mean... the chances of you getting robbed at gunpoint running a store in Philly are probably higher than hitting the lotto... but to have it happen to you twice? That's just nutty.

Just goes to show you, it is about to become open season on the bad boys out there as they start to eff' with store owners more. They're tired and not gonna take it any more!

Not me. He's probably been training for some time. The robbers, not so much.

Let this be a lesson kids: aiming a gun takes practice. you can't always walk up behind someone and shoot them in the head like in the movies.

True....considering he did have a permit...im sure he went to the range regularly....

That looks cool in the movies and the rap videos, but in real life you can't aim for ____.

I still have to squint and stare at the end of the barrel to be spot accurate, and I can barely handle the kickback from a shotgun with buckshot [cue YouTube video of the 8 year old girl with the rifle tilting backwards]

I think if I were mayor (that should be abbreviated... IIWM), I'd screen print some tees and have a huge box full of small glass trophies.

Every time this happens, the would-be victim gets an "I SURVIVED PHILADELPHIA AND WON!!!" along with a commemorative trophy from the mayor.

Not like this story doesn't happen elsewhere (happens quite often actually), but does make ya feel good that people don't get sh** on all the time.
