I know you're trying to be cute, but this is the truth; as it should be. A vibrant, safe center city is what is drawing people from all over to the city, and from there they explore the other great parts of the city. Can't the Original Poster delete this thread (and start a new one, if you want)/change the topic title?

Off the hook for being confused and asking if anyone had any details?

Notice the last line of my first post. We care more or less about shootings depending of where they're located and who the victims are. I'll be the first to admit I'm relieved this didn't happen in Center City (although it's still not clear). I still think the fact that this shooting happened is upsetting.

Off the hook? From what? Why are you being so obnoxious?

I'm happy to change the thread title, but don't have the ability to do so.

I'm probably as much of a jerk as anyone on Phillyblog; but is this really necessary? The article was very confusing, as other posters have noted. She made an honest mistake (assuming it was a mistake at all) that many others would probably make as well. I'm not sure what she's "on the hook" for, but can't we just chalk it up to an honest mistake (if that) and move on?

In defense of JillyS, the first paragraph is worded to sound like the shooting happened in Center City Philly. It's not her fault that the story is such a piece of trash. Additionally, the accompanying video shows multiple shots of Ruby Tuesday. The media intentionally wanted to convey that this shooting happened in Center City, true or not.

The title's been changed. Everyone feel better now?

Am I "off the hook" for being a "moron"? Tough crowd in Center City today.

I know you didn't do it, but thanks all the same. This whole off the hook nonsense is silly and you're certaintly not a moron.
