At 6:00 a.m. on the morning of February 6, 2007, a woman who works dispatching school buses to pick up special education kids for the School District of Philadelphia was killed at the Widener School for the Handicapped, where the bus depot is located.

Bus pick-ups in the Northwest Philadelphia area were delayed and in some cases prevented as a result.

I look forward to further reports as the investigation of the woman's death continues and more information is released. This terrible tragedy must not be repeated.
