Default Brigantine

I've been making weekend trips to Brigantine and I'm really liking the city more and more. Has anyone else stayed here? What do you think?

Default Brigantine

I started out that way...now have a place here. It is our 6th summer.
Brigantine is great - I shouldn't even be bragging about it because we love how it is not crowded. The people here are the best. There are great restaurants and bars, and the beaches are beautiful. Have you been to the "rod and reel"? A fun place to go that is just plain down and dirty. The Saturday night karaoke is really lots of fun, too.

It is definitely open 24/7. The old Circle Bar has been gone for years. I think Joe Crilley was one of the owners. He had a supper club with a live group and singer in AC for a number of years but that closed down as well. It is a tough business.

There are fewer and fewer greenies every year. I think the people are squeezing them out. We are on the South end, so we only see them 1 or 2 days during the summer. Of course, on a bad night at the Rod, it is like the attack of the green monsters!!

Stayed here the past couple years and will again this year. I find it a dead and boring town for night life. I always wind up at the casinos on the otherside of town. the rest is OK.

Haven't tried the rod and reel yet. I have in-laws who own a place on the bay so it's a perfect view of the bridge, borgata, and downtown AC. I like the fact that it's not a commercial town. Next time down it's kayaking, and a round on the links.

The only one downside I have is because it's such a small non-commercial town, getting ice cream on a warm night is almost impossible unless it's WAWA or you want to wait 30 deep in a line.

The giant greenies I've only noticed at the end of the beach, not down around 37th or 38th street beach

I almost forgot... Sunday afternoons in front of the Barefoot bar, wearing mirrored sunglasses and watching the dancers from Delilah's working their tans....
