So my parents live in Smithville and we traditionally drive over to 17th St in Brigantine to go to the beach. We like it b/c there's a bar/restaurant on the beach and it's easy to park. This year, I'm thinking we need to upgrade to a Margate beach with a more lively atmosphere. Anyone have a beach preference in Margate they'd like to share? I'd be looking for ease of parking and a bar on the beach.

Can you quietly drink alcohol (BYO cocktails) on the beach in Margate? Any help would be appreciated!

Yes. I drink on the beach in Margate when I come home every Labor Day.

They prefer the booze to be in a cooler and you should bring your own trash bag.
