yeah, it hsa to make up for the extra time to get to and from the station as well as any inconvenience due to schedules. that also puts stopping patterns in conflict. more stops means more markets but smaller pools in nay markets inconvenienced by those stops. I'm not convinced transit folks think that way otherwise they'd propose upgrades rather than frequency cuts (in many cases) to make their service more competitive. infrastructure upgrades. service cuts on routes that make sense are like restaurants that start skimping on the quality of ingredients to save the operation, IMO.
