[quote=ACE]Better is the question who is selling the "Stars&Bars" T-shirts, and magnets?

Alot of those owners or renters in those crappy, "I just got to go in" shops on the boardwalk are owned by Middle Easterns.[quote]

why is that the better question?

funny you should mention this observation. one of my favorite bloggers just posted a photo essay about the perplexing prevalence of confederate crap in wildwood:

Strange coincedence I guess. His pictures are observations are pretty great. I like the "you wear your X, I'll wear mine" shirt. When was the last time you saw anyone wearing an X since the malcolm x movie came out? The hermit crab is pretty awesome.

In HS I would go there just to see a particular waitress... she knew me and I would see here once or twice a year.

Cozy used to hold court at his "Club Avalon", which he affectionately called "The Toilet" (it was an appropriate name). Afternoon entertainment was in the Red Garter (Jimmy's) and was Milkey Lawlor (he just passed away in April).
The former Red Garter has just been sold and plans for "Champagne Island Condos" were just announced. I also just heard that the developers at Moores have run out of $$$ and all construction has been halted. Now we have no view, no condos and for 2006 no bar!! While "they" start to demolish Jimmy's for more condos...I m not mak'n this up!!!

We always went to Bandana's. Is that place still open? I haven't been to Wildwood in years, but spent every summer in the crest when I was a kid. Wildwood has the best beaches around. I loved sitting on the lifeguard stand after the lifeguards pulled it back from the water and left for the day. Did anyone else do that? Being on the beach after 5:00 was so fun.
