Default Wildwood vs Ocean City, NJ

Which is better Wildwood or OC, NJ? WHere do u recommend to stay? What's the difference between Wildwood, Wildwood crest, north wildwood?

I'm looking for clean, quiet, family oriented beaches. Any suggestions welcome.

OC, MD is an option but it's too far to travel with a baby.

OC, NJ is superior in every way to the Wildwoods.

WW is OK, but if I was choosing a place for vacation with the family, OC would be the only choice. July 22 is the kickass Night in Venice boat parade...its a NJ treasure.

Without question or hesitation....Ocean City. It is the most family-oriented town I know. A nice boardwalk with TONS of kids. Arcades, rides, nice beaches, and everyone is there for the same thing. Ocean City is a DRY town. Alcohol is not sold anywhere on the island thus there are no bars and the restaurants serve no drinks. I'm guessing they are probably all BYOB but I haven't been in a few years. Just stop at one of the Super Liquor Stores before you cross the bay and pick up any booze you will need on your way in.

Wildwood is not like Ocean City.

Wildwood was the place to go when I was a teenager, but as soon as I grew up and had a family, Ocean City became our new destination. It's perfect for families. Small and quiet but still lots of fun!

I am a huge fan of OC, you can't beat it, it's 1000% quieter than Wildwood.

Margate or LBI.

Of the choices you listed, I would take Wildwood.....if I wanted to pick up skanky NawFillay Hos.

Actually, there are no byob's in ocean city. You can drink at home, but not in public. This is a big issue in OC right now. The result is that if you want a nice dinner you have to drive to sommers point. Most restaurants that are not on the boardwalk in Ocean City focus on breakfast and lunch.

without a doubt, ocean city new jersey is the choice iif u want family oriented. however, i was just down wildwood for a few days during the week and to my surprise it was eerily peaceful and somewhat quiet, despite the fact that many kids go down on senior week this week or the week before. the boardwalk looked the same, but the most of the town looked very different from the last time i was there and not trashy at all

Unless your idea of a nice dinner means enjoying good food with your spouse and children and alcohol is not required!

Default another vote for Ocean City;

but with regard to the Wildwoods: North Wildwood and the Crest would all be okay for a family vacation. The boardwalk in Wildwood is bigger, louder and probably trashier than OC's boardwalk, but if your kids are older, say 11 and up, they may find the Wildwood boardwalk to be alot more fun...many more adventurous rides and really cool water parks.
Good luck with your choice!
