The "voter fraud" that is being alleged is primarily that ACORN runs big registration drives in various places across the country. To do that they often hire some very poor people, sometimes even homeless, to register as many very poor, sometimes even homeless, people as they possibly can and sometimes these people send in registration forms with names and addresses that don't shake out. There may be some specific instances with what I would call "voter fraud" in a traditional sense but generally this is the problem most often with ACORN's big registration drives. It does not strike me as terribly odd that there is often an extra amount of "chaff" to "wheat" in some of their registration forms considering the population they are going after and some of the folks they are employing to go after them. It is what it is.
Should ACORN do a better job of training its paid registration workers? Yes, it should. Should any registration forms that aren't up to snuff get tossed? Absolutely. Is this the same kind of "voter fraud" as when your ward leader Frankie keeping dead Aunt Tilly on the voter rolls for generations to produce fraudulent votes (which I've seen evidence of right here in Philly)? No, not in my opinion. To me it sounds a little like "hype". Now the actual mismanagement and malfesance alleged in the upper management in the first post is a whole other story and people should go jail if any of it shakes out. 'Nuff said.
