I was boycotting the NFL over this issue until I was informed by their General Counsel that I would have to cease and desist my boycott without express written permission from the NFL.

It wouldn't fly in corporate America if a hot shot college grad was the highest paid employee in the Co, as is the case year in and year out w/ high 1st round picks.

Implied oral consent is almost as good as express written consent.
