You bringing a totally extraneous factor like religion into this issue just shows that you are an anti-Catholic bigot.
You seem to have an extreme allergy to the truth, and quite an inferiority complex. Not to mention, a low level of reading comprehension. Go back and read; I wasn't the one who got on the religion talk on this thread.

Stop being an idiot.

9/14, quote on elections, because shosh had to put up that thoughtful writeup on mediocrity and elitism:
"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." — H. L. Mencken

I only had issue with the OP, who was calling the group stupid for setting ablaze some huge homes, based on carbon impact. I already noted how the actual use of such homes can have a bigger carbon impact than a mere short-lived fire would. I never disputed the fact that this group is some sort of terror-minded people indulging in illegal violence.
That's not the only reason that they are stupid. Obviously 5 homes on fire isn't as big of an impact long term. The fact is that the fires add to the carbon impact, they will likely rebuild (more materials) and the owners will drive their cars to and from these homes and heat and cool them.

It especially sucks that these homes were built "green".

I think that a lot of these acts stem from these terrorists having inferiority complexes and simple jealousy of the bourgeois.

Not to mention how many times the construction crews are going to have drive back and forth with their HUGE trucks. How much more land will have to be destroyed to rebuild. I really just don't get it. I keep telling you that ELF and ALF will never be happy. The fact that they go after a "green" development because its not "green" enough is absurd.

Please Philly, don't let them take Foie Gras. I don't eat it, never have, but if they ban Foie Gras, whats next? Veal? Chicken? When will they stop? When will they be happy? Please vote against the BAN. Even if you don't eat it, its the principle that someone is trying to take away your choice, PLEASE!!!!!!

But you were the one who hamfistedly tried to smear The Catholic Church with ridiculous, unfounded charges of being implicated in the Rwandan genocide.
I said that you're an anti-Catholic bigot, a charge that you failed to even offer a cursory denial of.
Your words prove your intolerance.
I think it's truly ironic that someone who gets so bent out of shape when I point out a proveable truth, like the inferiority of false god nations, has no problem with trotting out a completely false charge to smear a group that you happen to have contempt for.

this is a bunch of crap blaming the Catholic church for not doing enough about Rwanda. Why not blame the Lutherans, the presbyterians, and the Greek Orthodox church while you are at it? What the hell was the Catholic church to do about that war?

Religion is very personal, and I for one hate to attack other people's beliefs unless they attack or disparage mine. And it's not like I hate the Catholic church or the fact that they get tax-exempt status. From what I've read of your posts, you're a reasonable person and so you have a set of your values that are based on reasonable thought. Lord knows we've got quite a few loonies out there! lol It's comforting to know you're not one of them.

If you're interested in reading about Rwanda and Catholic Church's issues therein, here are some example links:

Please don't misconstrue these as personal attacks on your Catholic beliefs.

They didn't send in the Pontifical Swiss Guard...
So the blood of 700,000 Rwandans is on their hands. And if you deny it you have "an allergy to the truth", I guess.
