I heard a disturbing rumor that Chief Salsa was actually Orrin Hatch, but other than that, no, I don't think Washington is watching.

Oh, yes. How else will they drive traffic to those topics which sell the most ads? Or wait, is that Wil & co? No, the government wants to sell tinfoil, right? That's why HG posted that picture.

I'm so confused. I need to go get my tinfoil hat to block out those gamma rays....

I know, nothing new.

Is PB monitored by our government?

Depends what you mean by monitored...and what government you're talking about...the Federal government?...yes, all internet traffic is monitored by the NSA, along with 'private' partners like Google & Yahoo, Verizon, AOL etc...remember that the 'internet' was a cration of the American military & intelligence services...it was originally called ARPNET, and was a limited network that was used by the military, universities & foundations to share information...tracking technology existed at the time of ARPNET, and today we're looking at, probably, 5th/6th generation of this technology...this doesn't mean that a person from the NSA/CIA is reading your personal emails or following you as you browse certain websites...in fact, the tracking is done by robotic means, and the data is stored on various media or servers for a period of time...there, it can be accessed if a need/desire arises on the part of the NSA/CIA...State Government?...you are tracked primarily through PENDOT, which has compromised computer security...Phila.City Government?...you are tracked through the various agencies like the Tax Assessor, Licenses & Inspections, PGW, whichever agencies you have accounts with...State & some
local governments have a version of what was originally called the PROMIS software system, which basically integrated different operating system data into the PROMIS data-base...but as far as internet tracking, State & Local governments would leave that to
private companies like Verizon or Comcast...As far as PhillyBlog, I would guess that is near the bottom of any tracking list.

I don't know and frankly do not give a s**t if they are.
I am not that paranoid to really care.

I love how some enlightened liberals have no problem censoring those with whom they disagree.

Militantly apathetic, what an interesting point of view.
