That's ok. Some people would find spending all this time with kids as a waste of time.

That's depressing.

You might want to try reaching out to others with limited expectations.

Also, looking at life as one giant maddening joke can help a lot. It's hard to be angry at yourself and others then.

That's weird.

It's what I've been talking about in the last few threads. There's something strange going on when members of our society are more focused on a quality life for brainless animals than children.

I mentioned that in China the government was killing people's dogs. That's because they are seen as a distraction from focusing on other people. I can understand it.
So you value human interaction over morality or rationality?

I'm not talking about petting a hamster and leaving the kids on the couch in a hamburger outfit. I'm talking about mothers who allow the interactive situation to alter their mentality into a Jon-Benet pre-death situation. Maybe living through the child, or creating a reason for the parent to live?

They'd be what's called a misanthrope.

Thanks for proving my point.

No, that's called a personal opinion. (not mine, just saying).

I didn't realize that everyone in the human race must LOVE children, and spending time with them. That's why some people choose not to have children.

Oh, that's an extension of the capitalist mentality. People like that don't love their children only the "capital" that the represent.

The words "Jon-Benet" set my blood to boiling.

Shortly after that happened I saw one of those baby beauty contests going on at a mall. All the little girls looked like cowboy movie whores and there were a bunch of guys standing around smirking. I was this close to beating everyone senseless.

I'm going to go and stick my head in a bucket of cold water now.

Sometimes young people say things like that. They just got through with being children and need a break. So, I can understand, if you're young.

However, it makes no sense to not like children as they are humans and the person saying that is human. It's as if the person has somehow differentiated themselves mentally from being human. There is no difference between a child and an adult except physical growth and some mental content, but some say "I'm an adult" as if that's some other species.

I don't think much of that.

Probably the better word is that some people do not have the "patience" to deal with children. I'd rather these people not volunteer to help children. Maybe they would be better helping on another issue.

No, that was because of a rabies outbreak.
