I bet more animals die from F-rated air than from farm implements and eating combined.

Regardless if you agree with that or not, if you eat vegetables that you buy from a farm, you are supporting the death of animals. Only by growing and harvesting by hand your own food, without the use of pesticides or insecticides, harvesting equipment, predators to control pests, flooding (used in rice production), or any other number of farming techniques that cause harm to animals, they you are killing animals for the production of your food. If you don't take these measures, then it is hypocritical to condemn anyone else's diet because you aren't doing all you can to limit the death of animals for the benefit of your food consumption.
it's not really a matter of whether I agree or not, but whether it's actually possible or not. From what I have read about the needs of foraging animals, it is not possible for animals to be raised on the land that he suggests for the sole source of their food. It's a very flawed theory and the author has never responded to my calls, letters, or emails asking him to explain.

I agree that it is hypocritical to condemn others' diets when oneself is responsible for killing animals for one's food. That is why I prefer the educational approach.

I bet as many animals die from salmonella tainted pet food as do from F-rated air.

I'd like to thank God, and Wikipedia for making this all happen. Shout out to Darwin for the theory of evolution, otherwise we'd all be eating krill or the sort. Default Solution to World Hunger

If you don't want to stop eating animals for the animals' sake,
consider how a vegan diet will help the world:

http://www.ffl.org/ffl_fww_hsol.php

Overcome with insatiable greed, however, modern society blindly pillages the earth of valuable resources, and thus robs billions of people in developing countries of their God-given quota of food.
This statement is clearly corroborated by the fact that more than one-third of all grain produced in the world is being fed to cattle and other livestock. It appears, therefore, that the solution to world hunger lies beyond the boundaries of expensive and exhausting humanitarian solutions at the root issue: individuals and nations must honestly acknowledge, and then end, their selfish gluttony.

I fully agree with ending gluttony. It's something that could be addressed by people eating until they're full (first they'd have to recognize that) instead of just eating what's infront of them (the servings at crap restaurants tend to be too large, at fancy ones too small).

However, assuming that giving the grain to people instead of to livestock is a sham. First off, people are designed to eat meat. Not the best at it, but look at our teeth, and the history of mankind. We've generally adapted from hunter/gatherers, not growers/gatherers.

And I don't believe it's modern society, I think it's people in general, going way back when to the first ever turf war. I'm pretty sure it wasn't necessary, especially because the planet has relatively stayed the same and there were far, many many less people to inhabit said space.

How about we call a truce. I'll do what I can to protect the planet and resources, you do what you do, I won't ask you to eat meat, you don't ask me to stop. Last time I checked, adults- through the modern marvel of human socialbility, can comprimise. Now it's not a perfect compromise, but the more you bother me, the more likely I'm going to pick you for the first person to eat if/when the situation arises that I'm so despaired.

Under your ideals, is it wrong to breast feed a baby? Since milk is from an animal, and all animal products are inherently flawed, is it bad to feed baby's a mother's milk, I wonder. Well, since breast feeding is natural, does that imply vegans may be super well intended, but for the most part- full of it- I question. How would other mammals feed their young if not with milk? Should we all become "natural hunters", in the terms of wolves, orcas, eagles, etc? If so, can we please bring back canabilism and restructure human society?

Cheers,
I'm serious, I'm always serious when it involves my meat. this meat or that meat... I can spout forth sape diaherra just as well as anyone, except for that fake doctor... I'll get you yet...

I've been meaning to try out Fogo de Chao. I'm kind of scared though because I figure once I'm done I'll waddle outside and collapse dead from the F-rated air.
