Maybe we should have a thread, "Jizay fights for fleas"?

Bloosum supports the murder of animals. That is a true statement. Just look at her thread about fleas that she wants to kill. They are animals, so the statement that Bloosum supports the murder of animals is a true, factual statement backed up by her own words.

Or one that says Colin Varga is careless and doesn't read?

I wish you guys would stop this childish behavior and just let this thread die.

I care a great deal for animals and when I read in the paper about people like Michael Vick and his dog fighting ring, a turtle that was mutilated, a goose that was beheaded for no apparent reason than for the amusement of the tormentor, it really makes me sick.

Honestly. I can't for the life of me figure out how someone can find pleasure in torturing animals.

Do I think some activists take things to the extreme? Absolutely. But there are a good deal of hardworking people that support causes through volunteering at shelters and animal hospitals and also through peacefully trying to inform the uninformed.

Ken could have just posted the article that he found but he instead decided to take the low road and take a cheap shot at bloosum seemingly much to the delight of some of the other posters on this thread. While I do not agree with what is said in the article (and the article is refuted in the the comments at the bottom of the same page), it does make me curious to learn more about where the soy and vegetables in the products I buy are coming from.

I don't know bloosum but I don't see what the harm is of posting an article on a message board. I think ridiculing him/her and making light of the situations presented is really obtuse of those of you that do. It is this type of behavior the desensitizes people to the violence that is brought on to these animals. It really is not a joke and making a joke out of it seems to validate the behavior of the people who do torture animals. I am not looking for an argument, I just would like people to understand the power of their words and the effect they can have on other people. Thanks.

That was a well said post, and I will no longer joke about the situation or patronize this thread. Just let it be known though, at least for me, and I believe the vast majority of bloosum's detractors, we have near no qualm with message being given. However, I/we do find fault in the frequency and tone of messages.
Bloosum's inability to discuss topics on a serious level as such it takes place in other threads, or heed the advise suggestions of others that would benefit all those involved also build a callousness for myself towards bloosum, and ultimately her message.
I believe I've said something very similar further up in this thread, but your outreach on bloosum's behalf actually means something. So out of respect to you, and the current events around us, I'd like to stop mocking animal suffering. Be well.

Cheers,
Al

My objection to this thread was the personal attack on Blossum. But now I have been called "careless" in a public forum. Jizay, regarding anything I said on this thread I don't know why you would make such a statement. I will ask you to explain.

If this was directed to me then you better check yourself because you must not have read my entire post or you just clearly missed my point.

Well, I hate to bump the thread, but I don't want to leave any confusion standing. You suggested a thread "Jizay fights for fleas." To nitpick, you were careless in capitalizing my user name. But I was referring to the fact that I never made a stink about fleas. SG-HO did. And it was mildly funny and made something of a point. Your quote when saying such a thread should be started was SG-HO's. Now, I suppose you could say that your point was to make threads that were defamatory or some such. But that would be weak. This thread didn't merely assert something false about Bloosum, it was supported with an argument about the vegan diet. To say that I fight for fleas is out of left field, thus I called you careless.

I admit, I also was confused by Varga's comment, but what I'm really upset about is that it confused me to the point where I had to opine about it and I fear I may have bumped this thread yet again.
