Default Bush declares WWIII

Bush Calls War On Terrorism "World War III"

Unbelievable: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20060505...i_060505220719

Quote:
WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President George W. Bush said the September 11 revolt of passengers against their hijackers on board Flight 93 had struck the first blow of "World War III." [...]

But he said he agreed with the description of David Beamer, whose son Todd died in the [United 93] crash, who in a Wall Street Journal commentary last month called it "our first successful counter-attack in our homeland in this new global war -- World War III".

Bush said: "I believe that. I believe that it was the first counter-attack to World War III."
How is it a world war, Mr. President, when almost all of your "Coalition of the Willing", your Allies if you will, have fled from your cause? Al Zarqawi isn't Hitler, and "Iraqi Liberation Day" won't go down as D-day in the history books.

It was Osama bin Laden (hey, Mr. President, remember him?) who declared that the war in Iraq was "the Third World War". This President has bought into that terrorist rhetoric. And so he will fumble forward, pursing his futile goal of beating Truman and Roosevelt in the history books.

The President foolishly thinks that his legacy will be winning a World War. But he dangerously misunderstands the conflict. This mentality may be the biggest blow to the War on Terrorism we will ever see. For that is what propels him to move from unnecessary conflict to unnecessary conflict, leaving behind him a string of unfinished wars, until the entire Mideast is set ablaze in the name of freedom.

He doesn't read the news, pay attention to the polls, or care what anyone says so long as he hears the results in the way he wishes to hear them: "Dubya is god."

Who does he need to fear?

Kerry's approval rating is 28%.
Gore is even lower at 26%.
Hillary's is only 3% above him at 34%.

I'm interested. What opponent in the horizon does he have to fear?

He's not running for anything, so he doesn't have to "fear" anyone. He's a lame duck. But who cares whom Bush fears? Why can't he stop lying to the American public in order to push his far right-wing agenda? That is the real question.

If Bush is trying some meniacal plot to try to build a lasting legacy when he leaves office, he sure as hell is failing miserably at it.

So bad, in fact, that some of his incumbent buddies are wonderng if they still have a career left for them on Capitol Hill if this keeps up.

Every 4 weeks its another bombshell. Now we have the reports coming in from MULTIPLE sources to USA Today that our phone records, your phone records, MY phone records, are in the hands of the NSA and are probably sitting on some DB/2 database somewhere being indexed and searched this very moment.
