What I heard, wither from SNL or Limbaugh show, was that most of the Deaniacs were young, pierced in the nose, lips, eyebrows and probably Prince Edwards, crunchy (but lovable) grass roots bunch of kids and when they went to Iowa they scared the crusty old people who decided that maybe this young whipper snapper Dean wasn't really what they were looking for in a candidate. (I loved the Dean speech in Iowa!!)
