So New Orleans could be evacuated after all.
And evacuating the city ahead of the storm made the job a lot easier for the police, fire and other first responders who remained behind. Anyone who suggested years ago on PB that New Orleans should do that with a major storm on the way is a genius. |

Yeah, if Katrina didn't happen I doubt many would of left.
You need something to put the fear in you, so to say. Now, here is a intresting thing, what if they have two more storms coming, and they have to evacuate both times, do you really think people will stick around and how much money and jobs would be lost if they had to do again and again this year? It's not that far out of realm of possibility(See Ike)
