Maybe instead of using flavors, he should have invited the "displaced residents" to come back to New Orleans, the Big Easy, or something similar. He really needs someone on a wire feeding him his words, if for no other reason than to keep his ankle out of his throat.

If you add cream, you have to add a sweetener (and vice-versa).

So New Orleans could be evacuated after all.

And evacuating the city ahead of the storm made the job a lot easier for the police, fire and other first responders who remained behind.

Anyone who suggested years ago on PB that New Orleans should do that with a major storm on the way is a genius.

I don't think many people would evacuate without first seeing why first hand.

Yeah, if Katrina didn't happen I doubt many would of left.

You need something to put the fear in you, so to say.

Now, here is a intresting thing, what if they have two more storms coming, and they have to evacuate both times, do you really think people will stick around and how much money and jobs would be lost if they had to do again and again this year?

It's not that far out of realm of possibility(See Ike)

That's one reason people might not want to spend a lot of money to return to a dangerous place that's not good to build on or safe live at. The weather will erase it again, sooner or later. In the mean time, evacuate for every storm or risk dying in the next big one.

Easy for you to say, but harder to do. And New Orleans won't be the only city that will face this type of situation in the next 50 years, and Hurricanes aren't going to be in the center of all these crises...
