I just found a picture from May 1969. Must have been a Memorial day parade. My mother, sister and I are standing in front of that store on the corner and the sign says Mike's Cold Cuts. I also have a picture of a bunch of kids on the train station wall. I had gotten some of these pics confused with 4th of july until I remembered the memorial day parades on Rochelle ave.
My mother says one year they started the parade on Manayunk ave right outside our house. I don't remember that. I just remember going down to the train station.
